2018 Volvo XC60 Prepares to Take the Spotlight in Geneva

The Geneva Motor Show is coming up next week. Historically, this has been a big show for Volvo, who has shown off concepts and some of their latest flagship models. This year will be no different, with the latest generation of the XC60 debuting. To whet our taste buds, the Swedes have put out the teaser video seen above. Here’s what we’ve noticed.

The new XC60 will boast the same powertrains, platform, and design language as the 90-Series that have been rolled out since 2015. This includes the Thor’s Hammer LED lighting elements seen on the XC90. It would seem, however, that Volvo has widened them a bit, so that they extend beyond the headlight housing into the sides of the front fascia. We’ve also been advised that the 2018 XC60 will start off offering a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 250 horsepower as a base engine.

More information will be available when the new model launches in Geneva next week. We can’t wait to tell you more! To get more information about our current line up of new Volvo cars, wagons, and SUVs, contact our Santa Monica, CA dealership.
